The Three Things Are One

The Holy Trinity is one of the greatest mysteries of our faith. This study is meant to make the difficult theology surrounding the blessed Trinity easier for us to understand. We will be sure to grow in awe as the mystery slowly unfolds during weekly readings and reflections followed by some lively weekly discussions in class. The Catechism tells us that “God himself is an eternal exchange of love, Father, Son and Holy Spirit…” . We will learn to participate in this communion of love and eventually the eternal life that is shared between Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Occasionally, Catholic Art will be briefly analyzed which illustrates the churches teachings of the three Divine Persons.  Topics of redemption and glorification as well as the transforming communion we must make as members of His body will all be explored.

In His “Farewell Discourse”, Jesus expressed His longing to His Father over and over what His desire for humanity was and still is,  “…that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us.” John 17:21.
