March 29, 2020

Good morning, Good morning,

Today marks the first day for Mass in the church, by camera.  Many thanks for your many many lovely compliments but enclosed is one of the greatest of all the compliments.

Dear Father Gould,

The kids were very excited to get dressed for mass and took a picture for you (see attached!!!) Thank you so much! Perfect transmission!

Thank you! Happy Sunday!

The Caro Family

PS—The little ones behaved EXACTLY the same way as they normally do on Sunday. Squarely. The world carries on.

The Church camera worked out very well today.  It will be on from 5:00 AM thru 1:00 AM if you just want to tap in and look.  Following is the parish schedule during the pandemic.

Starting tomorrow all Masses offered in the Church will presented on

All other services and spiritual devotions will be handled through Fr. Heisler’s computer.

Please know that during the Coronovavirus Pandemic all parishioners are granted by Bishop Michael Burbidge a dispensation from their Sunday obligation to attend Mass.  They may connect with the church camera and watch Mass offered on the internet.   But, the Masses offered in church, during the pandemic, are private and not open to the public.  The doors will be locked only during the Mass.  They will be open at all other times for adoration hours or personal visits.   What a world to which we have come.  My heavens.  Let us pray for one another.

  • The Sunday Masses will be offered from the Church at 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM.
  • Weekday Masses will be offered at 6:30 AM and 8:00 AM.
  • Saturday Mass will be offered at 9:00 AM

I am sorry to say the Church doors will be locked during all Mass times for the duration of the pandemic.
The confession Schedules are modified so as not to conflict with the Mass Schedules.  All confessions will be heard in the Parish Academic Center.

Guardian Angel Apostolate to the Vulnerable Parishioners. Twenty-four hours ago I made an appeal to initiate a committee for the needy in the parish. The apostolate would involve picking up groceries or taking folks to the doctor. Since then twenty-five people have stepped up to the line, and one of them is listed as a health risk for an immune system deficiency. I asked Fr. Heisler, “Where do we get people like that? In the middle of a pandemic. Where do find such heroic figures?”

I have the list of names, e-mails, and telephone numbers. Fr. Heisler will use his computer magic to set up a meeting online, pick a leader, and figure out the logistics to succeed. First, and foremost, let us pray for one another.

Speaking of Guardian Angels… Just when you thought it was safe to go out on the bike trail again…  Notice the road rash to the right knee…  Let us pray for the future clerics
