Mother Teresa’s Garden

St. Francis de Sales is blessed with heavenly land that can be tilled, sowed, and harvested. Our parishioners produce a large bounty of food for those in need. It is a way to use our Corporal Works of Mercy and Feed the Hungry. Come work with your hands in God’s soil and not only feed the hungry but also feed your soul.

Thank you Robby Creighton, his family, and the Eagle Scout group who are helping to build our fence & raised beds for the garden! We are so grateful for their partnership. Their goal is to reach $7,000.

Do you have extra produce from your garden? Bring it to mass during the growing season! We are collecting fresh produce in a marked cooler in the Knights Hall on Sundays only from June 16- Oct 20, 2024. We accept fruits and veggies that do not need to be immediately put in the fridge (no lettuce.)

All produce will be brought to Tree of Life in Purcellville, VA or St. Francis de Sales Homeless Ministry to help feed our community.

There are plans to have a rosary garden with meaningful flowers for a place of worship and prayer to help us grow in our faith. In addition, right outside of the garden fence, there will be log stumps to be used as an outdoor classroom.

The Mother Teresa’s Garden is a ministry FOR ministries that provides the opportunity for our parish to grow as a community and spend more time on parish grounds throughout the week.
