Good morning, Good morning,

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers in the parish. God bless one and all who have delivered and adopted the young ones. By their Faith, Hope, Love, and courage with generosity the love of God well reaches to the next generation. Bishop Burbidge has offered a video for the mothers of the parish.

At Mass today let us offer a sincere prayer for all of our mothers. God has blessed us one and all with the image of motherhood. For some it hasn’t been easy. They may have deserved a better health or better family. Some, called to carry great crosses before they helped to carry ours. But all with the help of the Blessed Mother. In the month of May and on the day of mothers let us enjoy the great poem from Mary Dixon that has been immortalized by Archbishop Sheen.
Lovely Lady Dressed in Blue
Lovely Lady dressed in blue ——-
Teach me how to pray!
God was just your little boy,
Tell me what to say!
Did you lift Him up, sometimes,
Gently on your knee?
Did you sing to Him the way
Mother does to me?
Did you hold His hand at night?
Did you ever try
Telling stories of the world?
O! And did He cry?
Do you really think He cares
If I tell Him things ——-
Little things that happen? And
Do the Angels’ wings
Make a noise? And can He hear
Me if I speak low?
Does He understand me now?
Tell me ——-for you know.
Lovely Lady dressed in blue ——-
Teach me how to pray
God was just your little boy,
And you know the way.

Good mothers of the parish,
This past week the Collegians were asked for suggestions in a Mother’s Day project with music. God bless those who responded. Fr. Heisler was tremendous in his many suggestions. Hope you enjoy the songs that represent four generations of people from many different continents. God bless you dear mothers. If you’re a child of the ‘60’s don’t be afraid to crank it up and shake the walls. Show the kids what you used to be made of…

Good and Holy Mothers,
Many thanks for caring for so many in this pandemic. Despite the fact that this is not a good time, God put you in the right place, for the right people, with the right and holy intentions. Love to you from a grateful parish.
Let us pray for one another.
