Food and Gift Card Request
NEED OF CHECK/GIFT CARD DONATIONS FOR THE LEESBURG CATHOLIC CHARITIES FOOD BANK
Your Knights of Columbus Council with the support and generosity of the Parishioners of St Francis de Sales this year, since August, have donated close to 25,000 pounds of food and since the March 27th (COVID-19) collection has donated almost $18,000 dollars in cash and gift cards to the Leesburg Catholic Charities food Pantry to help thousands of Loudoun’s most food needy.
The Covid -19 virus is affecting every part of our society, including the cancellation of Masses at our respective churches, the increased need of those who are holding lower wage jobs who are not working, those who have had jobs but now are not getting paid. The demand for food has increased because of all the above. While some food will come from the St. Lucy Food Project warehouse in Manassas, their ability to meet the need is limited.
Please read below to see how you can help:
We beseech you to consider making a monetary contribution or give gift cards from any grocery store and/or checks payable to “St. Francis Council 11136”. We can make a payment to the Catholic Charities St Lucy Project in Leesburg so they can either purchase food or assist them in the food operations of the food pantry. Please mention “Food Bank” in the memo line of checks. We will collect checks on Sunday August 2nd during our Share Sunday Drop Off-Drive from 2PM until 5PM.

Drive-By Or Drop Off For Our Church’s Operations:
If you are attending Mass on Saturday or Sunday, please leave your donation (Food, Check or Gift Card) in the Narthex in the designated area.
On Sunday, August 2nd from 2-5 pm. Please place your food donations in plastic grocery bags and come to church. Drive around the circle by the Parish Center, mailbox, and food trailer. Look for the Knights. Pull your car up and either unload your donation in the designated space or pop your trunk and we will handle the rest.
You may also drop off a Check (payable to “St. Francis Council 11136”) or Gift Card if you prefer.
We will take the food, check and/or gift card to the Catholic Charities Leesburg Food Pantry.
ALSO FEEL FREE TO DROP OFF YOUR PARISH “COLLECTIONS” to help Father pay the Church Bills!
