** Simbang Gabi, also known as the Misa de Gallo (mass of the rooster ) or Misa de Aguinaldo (mass of gifts), is a rich part of the Philippines Christmas tradition. The Filipino immigrants have proudly introduced this beautiful tradition to the Church in United States. Since winter weather in most parts of the country makes it impractical to hold the Mass celebrations at dawn, local parishes have adapted the practice and celebrate Simbang Gabi in the evenings. Please join us Thursday, December 20 at 7pm . Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Carlos Melocoton. A pot luck reception will follow after the mass in Our Lady of Victory Hall. Families attending are asked to bring a dish to share. Committee volunteers are greatly needed from our parish to make this annual Advent Celebration a success. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the parish office secretary@saintfrancisparish.org
