Fundamental Theology

“But even if you should suffer because of righteousness, blessed are you. Do not be afraid or terrified with fear of them, but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts. Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope…” 1 Peter 3:14-15

Are you “always ready” to explain the faith? Has it been a few years since you formally studied what the Church teaches? Do you want to understand more fully the beauty, depth, and entirety of core beliefs? This fall come to Fr. Mullaney’s Adult Education class – Catholic Fundamental Theology. Topics to be covered include: God’s revelation to man, Catholic Tradition, original sin, the Magisterium, and more. As people of the Church, we each have an obligation, and quite often a strong inclination, to know more about what the Church teaches. Our love for God instills a desire to bring the joy we find in the Church to others, but sometimes our desire and our knowledge are not on the same level. We live in confusing times where new challenges and attacks on the Truth appear almost daily. Our children, our friends, and our own souls depend on knowing what is true, and what will get us to heaven! Spend a few hours each week and see how much your faith grows! No need to register.
